Introduction to 2520 Stainless Steel Material

Jan 28, 2026

2520 stainless steel is a high-chromium-nickel austenitic heat-resistant stainless steel. The material correspondence is as follows:

- Chinese designation: The old designation was 0Cr25Ni20, and the new designation is 06Cr25Ni20 (the unified Chinese numerical code: S31008)
- American designation: 310S
- Other international standards: The European standard is 1.4845, and the Korean standard is STS310S

The chemical composition of this material is characterized by high chromium (24.00–26.00%) and high nickel (19.00–22.00%), with a carbon content of ≤ 0.08%. It exhibits excellent oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and high-temperature strength. Its continuous operating temperature can reach 1150℃, and the maximum temperature resistance can reach 1200–1250℃. Its physical density is approximately 7.98–8.0 g/cm³, and its mechanical properties include tensile strength ≥ 520 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, and elongation ≥ 40%.

2520 stainless steel is widely used in the manufacture of high-temperature resistant furnace tubes, heat exchangers, petrochemical pipelines, mechanical parts and military components, etc. Common product forms include sheets, pipes, rods, etc.
