When using wax material, melt mold casting is also known as "lost wax casting". Melting mold casting usually refers to the casting scheme made of molten material, coating several layers of refractory material on the shape surface, and then melting the shape and discharge shell, so as to obtain the casting without classification surface, and fill sand and pour after high temperature roasting. Because the appearance is widely used in wax materials to manufacture, so the melting mold casting is often called " lost wax casting.
Melting casting is also known as lost wax method. The method of losing wax is to make wax to make the mold, and then on the wax mold coated with mud, this is the mud mold. After the mud mold is dried, bake it into the ceramic mold. Once roasting, all the wax mold is melted and lost, leaving only the pottery mold. Generally, the pouring mouth is left, and then the copper liquid is poured from the pouring mouth. After cooling, the required utensils are made.
The alloy types that can be produced by melting mold casting method are carbon steel, alloy steel, heat resistant alloy, stainless steel, precision alloy, permanent magnet alloy, bearing alloy, copper alloy, aluminum alloy, titanium alloy, etc

Manufacture of type shell
1. Material for manufacturing the type shell
Refractory materials: quartz and corundum, as well as aluminum silicate, such as refractory clay, aluminum vanadium soil, coke stones, etc. Sometimes also with zircon, magnesia (MgO), etc.;
Binder: silicic acid colloid solution, simply silica acid sol, such as ethyl silicate hydrolysate, water glass, and silica sol. Water glass shell is easy to deform, crack, with the casting size accuracy and surface smoothness are poor, the stability of silicon sol is good, can be stored for a long time, the shell without special hardening agent, but the silica gel on the melt mold wetting is slightly poor, the shell hardening process is a drying process, need a long time
