(1) Good casting performance Due to the low total amount of alloy elements, so the nickel hard white cast iron is easy to melt, good casting performance.
(2) Martensite matrix can be obtained in a simple casting state, without high temperature treatment, so as to avoid the risk of cracking caused by high heating temperature, usually only need stress annealing and low temperature tempering treatment, so as to get small brittle tempering martensite.
(3) Good wear resistance Compared with ordinary white cast iron, it has higher hardness, better quenability and better wear resistance. Nickel hard cast iron used in various occasions of industrial production, whether wet or dry grinding, have proved good wear resistance. It is worth noting that due to the shortage of nickel resources and the expensive price, nickel hard white cast iron is mainly used to manufacture important anti-wear castings such as rolls, lining plates and grinding rolls, while ordinary castings such as grinding ball are generally not made of nickel hard cast iron.[2]
