Advantages And Disadvantages Of Inclined Reciprocating Grate

(1) Advantages of inclined reciprocating grate:
1) Compared with the chain grate, it is suitable for burning low-quality coal with high moisture and ash content and low calorific value (12560kJ/kg) and coal that is generally easy to coke.
2) When the amount of air supplied is reasonable and the amount of air leakage is small, the carbon content in the ash is generally 18%~20%, which is 5%~10% lower than that of the hand-fired furnace, which can save coal and reduce black smoke.
3) The structure is simple, the manufacture is easy, the metal consumption is low, and the power consumption is less.
(2) Disadvantages of inclined reciprocating grate:
1) Because the grate is inclined, the furnace body is tall.
2) The particle size of coal is strictly required, and the diameter should generally not exceed 40mm, otherwise it will be difficult to burn through.
3) The grate pieces in the high-temperature zone are in contact with the red-hot coal seam for a long time, which is easy to burn out.
4) The adaptability to boiler load changes is poor, and it is only suitable for boilers with an evaporation capacity below 40t/h.
5) Coal leakage is serious. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the tall furnace body of the inclined reciprocating grate, it has been improved to the horizontal reciprocating grate, and has received certain results.
