On September 11, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the US consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.5% year on year in August, the fifth consecutive month of decline, in line with market expectations, lower than 2.9%; August CPI rose 0.2% month-on-month, unchanged with market expectations and previous values. U. S. Core CPI rose 3.2% year on year vs. 3.2% vs. 3.2% last; up 0.3% vs. 0.2% vs. 0.2% last.
