U.S. Consumer Prices Rose 2.5 Percent in August From A Year Earlier

On September 11, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that the US consumer price index (CPI) rose 2.5% year on year in August, the fifth consecutive month of decline, in line with market expectations, lower than 2.9%; August CPI rose 0.2% month-on-month, unchanged with market expectations and previous values.
