1. Good wear resistance
Because the inner lining of the ceramic composite pipe is corundum ceramic (a-AL2O3), the Mohs hardness can reach 9.0, which is equivalent to above HRC90. Therefore, it has high wear resistance to the abrasive media transported in metallurgy, electric power, mining, coal and other industries. It has been confirmed by industrial operation that its wear life is ten times or even dozens of times that of hardened steel.
2. Small running resistance
The SHS ceramic composite pipe has a smooth inner surface and never rusts, nor does it have a convex helix on the inner surface of a seamless steel pipe. According to the test of inner surface roughness and clean water resistance characteristics by relevant testing units, the inner surface smoothness is better than any metal pipe, and the clear resistance coefficient is 0.0193, which is slightly lower than seamless pipes. Therefore, the tube has the characteristics of small running resistance and can reduce operating costs.
3. Anti-corrosion and anti-fouling
Since the steel ceramic layer is (a-AL2O3), it is a neutral characteristic. Therefore, it has acid and alkali resistance and seawater corrosion resistance, and also has anti-scaling and other characteristics.
4. Good performance
Because the corundum ceramic (a-AL2O3) is a single stable crystal structure. Therefore, the composite pipe can operate normally for a long time in the temperature range of -50--900°C. The linear expansion coefficient of the material is 6-8×10-6/0C, which is about 1/2 of the steel pipe. The material has good thermal stability.
5. Low engineering cost
Ceramic composite pipes are lightweight and affordable. It is 50% lighter than cast stone pipes with the same inner diameter; 20-30% lighter than wear-resistant alloy pipes, and has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Operating costs are reduced. According to the comparison between the project budget and the actual project of the relevant design institutes and construction units, the project cost of the pipe is equivalent to that of cast stone, and compared with the wear-resistant alloy pipe, the project cost is reduced by about 20%.
6. Easy installation and construction
Because the tube is light in weight and has good welding performance. Therefore, welding, flange, quick coupling and other methods can be used, which is convenient for construction and installation, and can reduce installation costs.
