The alloy reciprocating grate furnace is a commonly used furnace type for burning medium-quality coal and biomass. The reciprocating grate primarily consists of fixed grate plates, movable grate plates, a drive mechanism, and a reciprocating mechanism.
Products Description
The rear end of each movable grate plate is secured to the movable crossbeam, while its front end rests directly on the adjacent fixed grate plate of the next lower level. This arrangement creates a distinct stepped configuration with a slight incline, facilitating the downward flow of fuel. Each row of movable crossbeams is connected to two channel steels to form an integrated movable frame. When the motor drives the eccentric wheel, which in turn moves the push-pull rods connected to the frame, the movable grate plates reciprocate forward and backward with the movable frame. The stroke ranges from approximately 30 to 100 mm, with a reciprocating frequency of about 1 to 5 times per minute. Adjustments are achieved by altering the motor speed. The rear ends of fixed grate bars are secured to fixed crossbeams. Similar to movable bars, their front ends rest on the adjacent lower-tier grate bars. Support rods are placed at the center of each grate bar to reduce pressure and wear caused by the reciprocating motion of the movable bars. Combustion air is supplied through longitudinal gaps between grate bars and transverse gaps between grate layers, with the grate's ventilation cross-sectional ratio ranging from 7% to 12%. At the rear of the inclined grate, fuel falls through the burnout grate into the ash pit.

1. ZG40Cr25Ni20Si2 (2520 heat-resistant cast steel) – a typical grade for reciprocating grates, withstanding temperatures of 1150–1200°C. It offers strong oxidation resistance and creep resistance, suitable for medium-to-large coal/biomass boilers and waste incinerators.
2. ZG35Cr24Ni7SiN (Ni7N heat-resistant cast steel) Nitrogen-enhanced Cr-Ni heat-resistant steel for reciprocating grates. Lower cost than 2520, with heat resistance up to approximately 1100°C. Suitable for small-to-medium biomass boilers and industrial waste heat boilers.
3. High-Chromium Heat-Resistant Cast Iron (Cr20/Cr26) Reciprocating Grate High-chromium alloy cast iron offering dual advantages of wear resistance and heat resistance at an affordable price. Suitable for fuels with high ash content and fluctuating calorific values (e.g., lignite, coal gangue boilers).
4. High-Chromium Heat-Resistant Cast Iron Reciprocating Grate

High-silicon, low-alloy ductile iron material with excellent workability and low cost. Heat resistance up to approximately 900°C, suitable for the low-to-medium temperature sections of chain/reciprocating boilers.
