Boiler Grate Bar is referred to as chain furnace, which accounts for more than 70% of the total number of industrial boilers. In the past, coal supply was in short supply, so any coal can be used for chain furnace, but the quality of coal supply often does not meet the requirements of chain boilers, resulting in serious waste of coal burning. If the pulverized coal is too much, especially if less than 1mm, flying loss; if the bulk coal is too much, incomplete combustion leaves the combustion. In view of the coal consumption of the national chain furnace by hundreds of millions of tons per year, so the "Technical Conditions of coal for chain grate boiler" GB / T 18342-2001 has been formulated.
For the chain boiler in use, the particle size of coal should not exceed 50mm, but the coal rate of less than 6ram should not exceed 30% of the total coal used; if the final coal of less than 30mm (or 25mm) is used, the coal rate of less than 3ram should be less than 30%. The ash of coal for chain furnace is better than no more than 30%, but the ash should not be too low, generally 10%~30%. The volatile content of coal should be determined according to the coal design of the boiler. For the chain furnace with anthracite, the volatile content should be 6.5%~10%; there is no limit on the volatile content of bituminous coal boiler. The calorific value of coal should be greater than 21 M J/kg (500 kca / kg) for anthracite, and should not be less than 17.7MJ/kg (4230kcal / kg) for bituminous ite. The coke slag characteristic (CRC) of coal is not more than 5, otherwise the bituminous coal bonding is too strong will coke in the furnace and affect the combustion. The ash melting softening temperature (ST) of coal should be greater than 1250℃, but the high quality coal with ash content less than or equal to 18 can be relaxed to ST 1150℃. Sulfur content is determined according to the requirements of environmental protection, if the sulfur content of thermal coal is less than 0.70%, so the sulfur content of coal in chain furnace should not be greater than 0.70%, the sulfur content of coal in other areas should be less than 0.90%, and the sulfur content of individual areas should not exceed 1.50%. If the sulfur content is too high, the coal blending method can be used to reduce the sulfur content to meet the requirements of the boiler air pollutant emission standards.
