A part of a boiler or industrial furnace where solid fuel is stored and burned efficiently. The whole grate mainly includes two parts: frame and grate plate. The grate is usually made of cast iron, and the necessary ventilation gaps are maintained between the assembled pieces and the pieces, and a separated ventilation chamber that can adjust the air volume is often set under the grate, so that the air enters the fuel layer through the gap to burn. The burnt ash is discharged manually or mechanically. The grate is of fixed type, movable type, reciprocating type, vibrating type and underfeed type.
