Aug 13, 2024

Main features of nickel hard white mouth cast iron

1. High-chrome cast iron features
High chrome cast iron is a cast iron containing a higher chromium amount. Due to the addition of chromium, high chromium cast iron has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and high temperature performance, and is widely used in machinery manufacturing, water pump manufacturing, mining machinery and other fields.
2. Heat treatment method for high-chromium cast iron
For the heat treatment method of high chromium cast iron, different methods such as regular ignition, quenching and tempering are usually adopted to optimize the hardness and strength of the material.
1. Is the fire
Using the positive hot treatment method, the high chromium cast iron is repeatedly heated at a high temperature of about 500℃ to achieve the quenching effect of the material. Orthofire can improve the strength and hardness of high-chromium cast iron, but it can also lead to increased brittleness of the material.
2. Quenched fire
Quenching is the treatment of high chromium cast iron in a tank with coolant to achieve the hardness and strength of the material. The quenching temperature is generally between 800 and 980℃, and the cooling should be avoided too fast to avoid cracks in the material.
3. tempering
After tempering, the high chromium cast iron is treated again at a certain temperature to reduce the hardness of the material and improve its toughness and ductility. The general temperature of tempering treatment is 280 ~ 520℃, and the time is about 1 ~ 3 hours.
3. Effect of different heat treatment methods on high-chromium cast iron
Different heat treatment methods caused by different heat treatment methods. Because of the high chromium content, the high chromium cast iron is prone to chromization in the treatment process, which affects the performance of the material. Therefore, before heat treatment, appropriate treatment temperature and time should be selected to minimize the influence of chroroization on material properties.
Normal heat treatment can improve the hardness and strength of the material, but it will also affect its toughness and ductility, prone to crack and other problems. Quenching treatment can improve the hardness and strength of the material, and maintain its excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance; and after tempering treatment, the hardness of the material decreases, improve the toughness and ductility, but also reduce the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the material.
4. sum up
The characteristics of high chromium cast iron need to pay attention to the occurrence of chromaphenomenon during heat treatment, and choose the appropriate heat treatment method. Different treatment methods such as regular ignition, quenching and tempering determine the hardness, toughness, ductility, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the material. In the process of use, it is necessary to choose the appropriate heat treatment methods according to the specific application scenarios to ensure the excellent performance of high-chromium cast iron materials.
