Chemical composition of high chromium alloy wear resistant liner

Jun 19, 2024

ASTM A128 Standard

The chemical composition of high-chromium alloy wear-resistant lining plate mainly includes carbon, chromium, manganese, silicon, molybdenum, tungsten and other elements. Among them, the carbon content is relatively high, which can reach more than 3.0%, which makes the material has high hardness and wear resistance. The chromium content is usually around 26%, further enhancing the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the materials. In addition, the appropriate amount of manganese, silicon, molybdenum, tungsten and other elements to improve the strength, toughness and high temperature resistance of the material.
This kind of wear resistance lining plate also has excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance, its wear resistance than high manganese steel lining plate life increased more than 2 times, high cost performance. The surface of the wear-resistant layer is flat, releasing the stress by forming small and uniform cracks, maintaining the level of the whole plate surface, limiting the stress concentration, the crack is only limited to the hard layer, and will not expand to the tough steel plate in the use process of toughness. The wear-resistant layer is recommended to be used under 600℃ working conditions. If vanadium, molybdenum and other alloys are added to the alloy layer, it can withstand the high temperature wear of 800℃.
