Classification of heat-resistant steel

Jun 29, 2023

Classification by alloy element content
1) Low-carbon steel: in the middle of such steel contains or rarely contains other alloy elements, its carbon content is generally not more than 0.2%.
2) Low alloy heat resistant steel: in this kind of steel contains one or several alloy elements, but the content is not high, the total amount of alloy elements contained in the general steel does not exceed 5%, the carbon content does not exceed 0.2%.
3) high alloy heat resistant steel: in this kind of steel alloy elements, alloy element content is generally more than 10%, or even as high as more than 30%.
According to the characteristics of the steel classification
1) antioxidant steel (or heat resistance is not leather steel): this kind of steel at high temperature (generally in 550~1200℃) has good oxidation resistance and high temperature corrosion resistance, and has a certain high temperature strength. It is used to manufacture all kinds of heating furnace parts and heat exchanger, the manufacture of heat turbine combustion market, boiler crane, heating furnace floor and roller road and furnace pipe. The antioxidant performance is the main index, and the component itself does not bear great pressure.
2) Thermal strength steel: at high temperature (usually 450~900℃) can withstand considerable additional stress and excellent oxidation resistance, high temperature gas corrosion resistance, usually also required to withstand periodic variable stress. It is usually used as the rotor and blade of steam turbine and gas turbine, the superheater of boiler, the bolt and spring working at high temperature, the inlet and exhaust valve of internal combustion engine, petroleum hydrogenation reactor, etc.
According to the main use of the steel classification
Industrial furnace heat-resistant steel: in addition to the reactor, power plant boiler, petrochemical industrial furnace, in metallurgy, machinery, building materials, light industry and other industries, widely used as heat exchanger, heating furnace tube, reflect tank and other refractory parts of all kinds of furnace, in addition to the plate, pipe, rod and heat resistant steel deformation material, and use a large number of heat-resistant steel castings. All kinds of annealing furnace cover, continuous heating tank, radiation pipe, charging frame, chain belt of controllable atmosphere continuous heating furnace, mostly use 310 (0Cr25Ni20) or 3Cr24Ni7SiNRe, 2Cr25Ni13 steel, etc. A large number of furnace bottom roller and radiation pipe in the continuous heating furnace and heat treatment furnace also use high alloy heat resistant steel centrifugal casting pipe, Commonly used brands are 0Cr18Ni9, 00Cr18Ni9, 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 0Cr17Ni12Mo2, 00Cr17Ni12Mo2, 3Cr24Ni7SiNRe, 0Cr23Ni13,1Cr20Ni14, Cr25Ni20Si2, 00Cr10Ni20Mo6Cu6, 4Cr25Ni35NbW, 70CrMoVBRe, 4Cr28Ni48W5Si2, 3Cr26Ni4MnMoRe et al. In the cement industry, a large number of heat-resistant steel chains in wet cement kiln pre-tropical, grate plate in large cement kiln, heat-resistant steel parts, such as 3Cr24Ni7SiNRe, 1Cr20Ni14, Cr25Ni20Si2, etc
