High Chromium-Nickel Austenitic Heat-Resistant Cast Steels (Most Widely Used for German Furnace Castings: Furnace Bottom Plates, Trays, Grates, Radiant Tubes)
Suitable for working temperatures of 850–1150°C under cyclic thermal shock with mild abrasion; the most frequently specified material series by German clients:
1.4848 (GX40CrNiSi25-20) | Chinese Equivalent: ZG40Cr25Ni20
Long-term service temperature up to 1150°C with balanced oxidation resistance, creep resistance and thermal wear resistance.
Exported to Germany for heat treatment furnace racks, annealing furnace bottom plates, carburizing furnace tooling and incinerator bars.
Commonly known as HK40, the universal heat-resistant casting grade with the largest procurement volume among German enterprises.
1.4823 (GX40CrNiSi27-4) | Chinese Equivalent: ZG40Cr28Ni4Si2
Duplex ferritic-austenitic structure with 27% high chromium content, superior sulfur corrosion resistance and high-temperature wear resistance compared to 1.4848.
Applied to sulfur-containing flue gas environments, cement kiln grates and wear-resistant liners for waste incinerators.
Lower cost than 2520 high-nickel steel, the preferred cost-effective high-temperature wear-resistant material for small and medium-sized German heat treatment plants.
1.4845 (GX40CrNiSi28-16) | Chinese Equivalent: ZG40Cr28Ni16Si2
Extreme high-temperature resistance up to 1180°C and excellent thermal fatigue resistance. Used for high-temperature conveying rollers and kiln head bushings subjected to severe abrasion.
Special casting material for high-end German metallurgical and ceramic sintering furnaces.
1.4852 (GX40CrNiSiNb35-25) | Chinese Equivalent: ZG40Cr35Ni25Nb
High-nickel grade (35% Ni) stabilized with niobium, suitable for ultra-high temperatures up to 1200°C under heavy corrosion and severe abrasion.
Adopted by German petrochemical cracking furnaces and special high-temperature sintering equipment, only for high-end premium orders.
1.4864 (GX15CrNiSi25-20) | Chinese Equivalent: ZG15Cr25Ni20
Low-carbon 2520 grade with improved ductility and thermal crack resistance, ideal for thin-section heat-resistant wear parts and furnace tubes.
