Ball mill lining material properties
High chromium alloy cast iron generally refers to alloy white iron with a chromium content of 12-30% and a carbon content of 2.4-3.6%. Through high alloying and heat treatment, martensite or austenite or a mixture of the two matrix and special carbides of chromium can be obtained. The high chromium alloy ball mill lining plate is characterized by M7C3 type eutectic carbide with a microhardness of HV1300-1800, which is dispersed in a broken network and isolated form on the martensite (the hardest structure in the metal matrix) matrix, reducing the impact on the matrix. The splitting effect is equivalent to embedding high-hardness particles on the matrix. It not only has good wear resistance, but also has high hardness and good toughness, which is much higher than the hardness of cementite carbides and common mineral grinding tests. Therefore, the high chromium alloy lining plate has high strength, toughness and high wear resistance, and its performance represents the current high level of metal wear-resistant materials.
Ballmill lining production process

1. The intermediate frequency electric furnace is used to smelt, micro-alloy, temper and cast high-quality carbon steel, high chromium and other alloy materials in one go.
2. Using vacuum casting and directional solidification technology, the grains are greatly refined and casting defects are basically eliminated.
3. Heat treatment and water toughening process. Quenching and tempering change the internal structure of the lining plate. It is heated to 1100℃ for heat preservation, and then comes out of the furnace. After chemical water toughening treatment, it is then subjected to low temperature tempering at 600℃, and finally is air-cooled to further improve the machinery. In terms of performance, Dongchen has very high requirements on the hardness and toughness of the lining board.
