Nickel hard white cast iron wear-resistant pipe

Nickel hard cast iron is a white cast iron containing nickel and chromium, which is usually called Ni-Hard in the world. According to the chromium content, it can be divided into two categories: w (Cr) 2% and w (Cr) 9%.

In a nickel hard white cast iron of 2% w (Cr), the carbide is (Fe, Cr) C, with a hardness of 1100 ~ 1150 HV, higher than the hardness of ordinary carbide Fe, C (900 ~ 1000 HV). In the nickel hard white cast iron of 9% w (Cr), most carbide is (Cr, Fe) C3 with higher hardness. Figures 8-6 show the addition of Cr on carbide formation.

The more crowded nickel in the hard white cast iron is to improve the quenability of the iron cast, which helps to obtain a martensite-based metal matrix, but it is always accompanied by a large number of residual austenite. The amount of nickel content depends on the wall thickness of the casting, and the nickel content of the thick wall casting should take the high limit.

(1) Chemical composition of nickel hard white cast iron has received the national standard in China (see Table 8-2). The American Materials Testing Association Standard (ASTM) has been incorporated in the United States and is divided into four models A, B, C and D (see Appendix E2). In the United Kingdom, Germany has also accepted the national standard. The International Nickel Corporation also lists the chemical composition of nickel hard white cast iron (see Table 8-16).

(3) Chromium. Chromium promotes the formation of carbide, and improves the combination of chromium in Ni-Hard 4 with carbon and silicon, so that most of the coptectic carbide become (Fe, Cr) C3, improving the wear resistance and impact toughness

(4) Nickel. Nickel is mainly dissolved in the metal matrix, which can effectively improve the quenability and promote the formation of martenite or besite matrix. The quenability of Mi-day 4 is significantly higher than that of Ni-Hard 1, which can make casting with section ten over 200mm. Nickel promotes graphitization, so the nickel hard white mouth blue iron beard has a certain amount of chromium element to avoid the formation of graphite. Nickel stabilizes the austenite, and a high nickel content produces more residual austenite.

(5) Manganese. Manganese can stabilize austenite, so the manganese content is low.

(6) Molybdenum. Molybdenum can improve the quenability and can be applied to thick castings if necessary.
