Material composition and characteristics
baseplate material
Low carbon steel or low alloy steel (such as 15CrMo, 12Cr1MoV, etc.) are usually used to provide good toughness and bearing capacity. The thickness can be selected according to the requirements (such as 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, etc.).
Wear-resistant layer material
The main components are high chromium alloy (chromium content 25%-30%) or chromium carbide, carbon content up to 4%-5%, forming Cr7C3 carbide, hardness can reach HRC56-62 (microhardness HV1400-1800), wear resistance is 30 times that of ordinary steel plate.
Some wear-resistant layers are added with vanadium, molybdenum and other elements to improve the high temperature resistance (up to 800℃).
