The heat resistant steel casting refers to steel with high temperature resistance and high temperature strength
High temperature antioxidant is an important condition to ensure that workpieces work at high temperature. In oxidation environments such as high -temperature air, a chemical response to the surface of oxygen and steel surface generates a variety of iron oxide layers. The oxide layer is very loose, loses the original characteristics of the steel, and it is easy to fall off. In order to improve the high temperature antioxidant of steel, alloy elements are added to the steel to change the structure of oxides.
Common alloy elements include chromium, silicon, aluminum, etc. They react with oxygen to generate dense, stable oxide layers on the surface of the steel, or CR2O3, SIO2 or Al2O3, etc., to protect the steel no longer continue to oxidize. The amount of chromium, silicon, and aluminum adds a lot, and the high temperature of the steel is better. However, if there are too much silicon and aluminum, the mechanical properties and processability of steel will deteriorate. Therefore, heat resistant steel castings uses chromium as the main alloy element and silicon and aluminum as auxiliary elements.
