Quenching process: Heat to 950 - 1100℃, hold for a period of time and then cool slowly to achieve quenching (for example, the Cr26 hammer head is held for 2.5 - 3 hours).
Tempering process: Low-temperature tempering at 200 - 260℃ to eliminate internal stress, with the hardness stabilized at HRC 58 - 62.
Special treatment: High-temperature spheroidization treatment at 1140 - 1180℃ for 16 hours to eliminate reticular carbides and enhance impact toughness.

Wear resistance and hardness: The hardness of high chromium alloy hammers can reach HRC 58-65. After surface quenching treatment, the wear resistance is significantly improved. It is particularly suitable for crushing hard materials such as quartzite and granite. The microstructure of the material contains eutectic carbides (such as Cr₇C₃), which form a high-strength framework and can resist the impact wear caused by hard materials. The service life is usually 3-5 times that of ordinary manganese steel hammers.
Impact resistance: By adding elements such as molybdenum (Mo) and nickel (Ni) and through the quenching + tempering process, the toughness of the base material is optimized (impact toughness ≥ 8 J/cm²), reducing the risk of fracture. Additionally, the composite structure (such as high chromium cast iron + carbon steel base) further balances wear resistance and impact resistance.
High-temperature stability: The chromium element enhances the hardness of the material at high temperatures (the hardness attenuation rate at 600°C is less than 10%), making it suitable for the high-temperature environment generated in high-speed crushing operations.
Application scenarios: Mainly used for equipment such as impact crushers and impact breakers, for processing medium-hard materials (such as limestone and quartzite). When supported by the hammer frame, it is less likely to break.
